SuperintendentDear Puyallup Staff,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to offer a word of heartfelt thanks for your fine work in support of each child in the Puyallup School District during the 2015-16 school year. Thank you as well for your continuing efforts to finish the school year on a high note of learning, safety, and support for each child through the very last day of school on June 23, 2016.

In reflecting upon the accomplishments of students and staff over the course of the year, I cannot adequately express how proud and personally grateful I am to work with such a fine group of professionals. As has been mentioned before, each of us has a very important role to play in the education and support of each child as they grow and learn. Your patience, care and nurturing of children is evident in their personal growth, the quality of their academic performance, in the record number of graduates and in the meaningful post-secondary opportunities that await our students as they leave our school system.

It is so rewarding to see, on a daily basis, the effort that is put forth by staff to serve our community and to prepare our students. As we finish the school year with student learning, safety, and support at the forefront, we also want to take a moment to thank and send best wishes to our retirees and those members of our team who are moving on in their career. A word of deep appreciation as well to custodial, maintenance, technology, transportation, and support staff members who will spend the summer months making certain that schools are ready and prepared for the arrival of students in September.

The Puyallup School District is a great place to be. It is through your efforts that we continue to improve and better serve Puyallup children.

Thank you again for your fine work this school year. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!

Dr. Timothy S. Yeomans, Superintendent
