Can you believe it. In the month of February, we will celebrate 100 days of school. Students are working hard to meet their academic goals. I want to thank you personally for your efforts at home as you help with homework and reading. Your commitment to your child’s learning makes a great difference. I want you to know that I recognize your efforts and on behalf of our teachers, I want to say a hearty thank you.
As principal of Zeiger, I am committed to the value of your child’s education. As a school, we are full speed ahead with our Response to Intervention (RTI) model. Each day, every class dedicates a portion of the learning day to focus on providing academic intervention in an area of focus where a student needs a little help. That intervention is monitored very closely so that we are able to focus on the academic need of each child that we serve.
A student’s social wellbeing is of paramount importance too. Our counselor, Ms. Chamberlain is busy teaching classes using our Second Step curriculum. In addition, we have our ongoing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) system here at school. The next time you visit, take a walk on our blacktop to see our peace path. This peace path is a system that students use to guide them through conflict resolution during recess.
It is indeed an honor to be in service to you. The Zeiger team takes pride in knowing that we are working hard every day to make sure that each child is growing both academically and socially. Thank you for your continued partnership.
